Katie Pohlman, Design Director, NCIDQ, LEED
Katie’s design journey began at Kansas State University, where she earned her degree in Interior Design, before furthering her education with a Masters in Historic Preservation in England. With over a decade of diverse experience in the design world, Katie has worked on a wide range of projects, but her true passion lies in creating spaces that foster meaningful experiences. She believes that the spaces we inhabit shape our behavior and interactions, and strives to design environments that are both functional and visually captivating.
As the Design Director for KBID, Katie leads a talented team dedicated to delivering exceptional interior environments tailored to each client’s unique vision. Her approach is rooted in a deep appreciation for the transformative power of design, with a focus on crafting intentional, beautiful spaces that leave a lasting impact.
Outside of her professional life, Katie is equally immersed in the world of design. She’s currently renovating her own home, constantly inspired by the creative energy of Kansas City. She also has a keen eye for art, frequently adding to her growing collection, and enjoys exploring the city’s vibrant art and design scene.
