Suite Dreams

This mid-century ranch has been respectfully transitioned into modern day with a careful regard to it's original intent.  We provided full service interior design from concept to completion including furniture specification for a new master suite. The footprint grew marginally from the original to accommodate the desire for increased function, minimizing the disruption to the sprawling site. The new space prioritizes natural, timeless materials that continue a design language from the rest of the home with an attention on the exterior context. A vaulted cedar clad ceiling soars over the bedroom and boudoir. Views look out to a new platform deck that blends into the courtyard space and out toward a vast yard. The bathroom connects the bedroom and closet with minimal interruptions, sharing light from skylights above and thoughtful windows.  Open and closed storage in warm walnut and crisp white in the closet engages the user in a fresh way keeping function and beauty at the forefront. The bold handmade tile and upholstery details add energy and warmth while nodding back to mid-century design influences. Now, one can retreat, rest and regroup after the stressors of every day living in this master suite haven.
